Mr. Charles Thomas ""C.T."" Richardson of Winston-Salem passed away Friday, February 25, 2011 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. He was born May 11, 1923 in Northampton County, VA to the late Charles Thomas and Maude Matthews Richardson. Mr. Richardson served in the U.S. Navy during WWII, had retired from the Winston-Salem Police Department as Captain with 30 years of service and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He committed the rest of his life to his family and his church. Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth Smith Richardson of the home; two daughters, Bonnie Miller of Winston-Salem and Donna Hicks of Lewisville; one son, Charles T. ""Chuck"" Richardson, III and wife Cheryl of Waxhaw and two grandchildren, Sarah Greene and Amy Gavin and husband Jared and two great grandchildren, McKinlei Greene and Emily Gavin. A funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 AM Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at Calvary Baptist Church by Rev. Al Gilbert, Rev. Will Toburen and Rev. Gary Byrum. Burial will follow in Westlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel.
