Mr. Charles ""Jeff"" Jeffrey Pace, 45, of Winston-Salem, passed away Friday, December 14, 2012 at his home after a tough battle with ALS. He was born September 6, 1967 in Forsyth County to Charles Hubert Pace III and Barbara Wright Pace. Jeff was a lifetime member of Konnoak Hills United Methodist Church. Growing up, Jeff played baseball at South Little League and football at Tiny Greyhounds. He continued to play baseball at Parkland High School where he was also the quarterback for the Mustangs. His love of sports and the thrill of competition led him to girls fastpitch softball. He treasured his time coaching at North Davidson High School and was proud to be apart of the 2010 State Championship Team. Jeff coached the Carolina Attitude girls softball team and touched many lives on and off the field. Jeff was retired from UPS with 25 years of service. He loved his UPS family. Jeff ""The Amazing Pace"" loved life, loved his family, and fought hard to live with ALS. Surviving are his wife, Jennifer Gordon Pace; two daughters, Haley and Carson Pace, all of the home; his parents of Lexington, a sister, Robin O'Neal (Jimmy) of Winston-Salem; a sister-in-law, Christie Farley (Tim) of Charlotte; mother-in-law, Judy Reed, of Concord; father-in-law, Terry Gordon (Mitzi) of Winston-Salem; nieces and nephews, Amber, Jacob, Evan, Stone and River. The family would like to extend sincere gratitude to the multitude of friends, doctors and nurses who helped Jeff during his fight with ALS. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 16, at Konnoak Hills United Methodist Church with Dr. Robert Wiseman officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, December 15, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Memorials may be made to the ALS Association - Jim ""Catfish"" Hunter Chapter, 4 N.
