Charles Charlie Robert Mears

COLFAX-Mr. Charles ""Charlie"" Mears, 89, died Wednesday, January 28, 2009. He was born April 3, 1919 in Guilford Co. the youngest of three children to the late Fredrick and Elizabeth Cox Mears. Charlie was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Ivy Heitman; a brother, Walter Mears; and a niece, Beverly Heitman. Surviving are his wife, Catherine R. Mears, and his daughter, Cindy Morton both of the home; three grandchildren, Aaron Morton and wife Melinda, Christy Turner and husband Brian, and Brian Morton; five great-grandchildren, Andrew Morton, Emilie Morton, Michael Turner, Megan Turner, and LeeAnn Morton; A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Friday, January 30, 2009 at Sandy Ridge Cemetery with the Elder Billy Rice officiating.
