Charles Richard 'Ricky' Marion

Mr. Charles Richard ""Ricky"" Marion, 59, of San Antonio, TX formerly of Shoals passed away Monday, June 6, 2011. He was born in Forsyth Co. on August 11, 1951 the son of the late Charlie D. Marion and Flora Wood Marion. Ricky proudly served his country in the United States Army. He worked in the automobile and equipment industry for 30 years. Ricky was saved in Woodland Baptist Church in Winston-Salem and always enjoyed visiting Friendly Chapel Church in Pilot Mountain when he was visiting family in Shoals. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Debbie Marion. Ricky is survived by his two brothers, Scotty Marion and wife Beverly and Joel Marion and wife Teresa both of Shoals; three nieces, Jessica Jo Marion, Sydney Dyann Marion and Samantha Ann Marion; a nephew, Charlie ""John"" Marion; and many aunts, uncles and extended family. Ricky is also survived by his special friends and caregivers in Texas for which his family will forever be grateful for, A.D. Casey, Kenneth Whiteley, Laura Garza, Rheila Bean and Deborah Spivey. Funeral services with military honors will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 11, 2011 at Friendly Chapel Church in Pilot Mountain with Bro. Don Collins officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-9 this evening Friday, June 10, 2011 at Friendly Chapel Church in Pilot Mountain. Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel is assisting the Marion family.
