Charles Blythe Jones

Mr. Charles Blythe Jones, 85, of Brookstone Terrace Assisted Living Center, passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2011. Mr. Jones was born on December 10, 1925 in Hendersonville, NC to the late Mr. William McKinley and Ruby Hood Jones. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army in the European Theatre. He was a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He was an auditor for Arthur Anderson Co., of Atlanta, GA and later he was an Assistant Comptroller with General Telephone Co. in Tampa, FL. Preceding Mr. Jones in death along with his parents is a brother, Mack Hood Jones. Surviving Mr. Jones are a sister, Mabel Hall (Maurice) of Lewisville, NC; a sister-in-law, Nancy Alexander Jones of Burlington, NC; a nephew, Webster Alexander Jones (Jane) of Burlington, NC; a niece, Melissa Jones Rudder of Cary, NC and several cousins. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at Shepherd Memorial Park in Hendersonville, NC with the Rev. Christa Warise officiating. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to Hospice and Palliative Care of Forsyth County, 101 Hospice Ln., Winston-Salem, NC 27103 or Hospice and Palliative Care of Davie County, 377 Hospital St. #103, Mocksville, NC 27028. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Brookstone Terrace and to Hospice of Forsyth and Davie Counties for the loving care and kindness shown to Charles during his illness. Also, the family wants to express a special thank you to Sherry Dube, formerly of Brookstone Terrace, who was a special friend to Charles and to Dr. Auffinger for the care she provided for Charles during his illness.
