Charles Ray Jones

WALKERTOWN - Charles Ray Jones, 82, passed away Monday, August 19, 2013 at his home. He was born July 3, 1931 in Forsyth Co. to the late Linnie C. and Pearl Crews Jones. Charles was a member of North Point Baptist Church. He was a United States Air Force Veteran having served during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Jones retired from Piedmont Airlines after many years of service. Surviving are his wife of 59 ½ years, Lois W. Jones of the home; daughter, Caroline Jones of Walkertown; son, Patrick Ray Jones and wife, Nora of Siler City; two grandchildren, Kelly Jones Pettigrew of Kernersville, Daniel Bowles of Walkertown; six great-grandchildren, Kaleb, Kelan, Molly, Autumn, Kamron, and Khori; two brothers, Norman ""Bud"" Jones and wife, Shirley of Kernersville and Phillip ""Tink"" Jones and wife, Jane of Virginia Beach, VA. A Graveside Service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at Love's United Methodist Church Cemetery with Pastor Skip Furrow officiating.
