Charles Chuck Albert Johnson, Sr.

KERNERSVILLE - Charles ""Chuck"" Albert Johnson, Sr., 70, passed away Friday, August 01, 2008 at Forsyth Medical Center. He is now with his Lord and Savior, whom he served faithfully for 45 years. Chuck was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was born June 21, 1938 in Snow Hill, Maryland to the late Charles W. and Dillian Reddish Johnson. Mr. Johnson served six years with the United States Marine Corps. He was a member of Triad Baptist Church, and was employed for over 45 years with Piedmont Aviation Components. Surviving are his wife, Carolyn Sapp Johnson of the home; a son, C.A. Johnson and wife Judy of Kernersville; a daughter, Cindy Mullins and husband Alvin of Walkertown; a brother, John Wayne Johnson of Harrington, Delaware; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 3, 2008 at Triad Baptist Church by Dr. Robert Decker officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory in Walkertown with military honors. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, August 2, 2008 at Hayworth Miller Cain Funeral Home in Kernersville.
