Kernersville- Charles Alvin Isenhour, 81, passed away Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Kernersville Medical Center. He was born February 26, 1944, in Rowan County, the son of Ray and Mildred Berringer Isenhour. He was a member of Kerwin Baptist Church for over 50 years and was a Deacon, involved in the Bus Ministry and was also active in the Visitation Ministry. He faithfully served his country in Vietnam with the U.S. Marine Corps. Charles was retired from Pilot Freight and Alliance Display and Packaging. A wonderful, loving husband who loved the outdoors, especially fishing, hiking and gardening. He is preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Lisa Marie Isenhour and a sister, Linda. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Nelda Terry Isenhour; two sisters, Betty Thomas of Kannapolis and Louise Luther of China Grove and many nieces, nephews and friends. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at Kerwin Baptist Church with Pastor Daniel Hawtree officiating. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Kerwin Baptist Church, 4520 Old Hollow Rd., Kernersville, NC 27284 or to the Parkinsons Foundation, 5757 Waterford District Drive, Miami, FL 33126. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
