Charles Hall, Jr.

Winston-Salem-Mr. Charles Hall, Jr., 86, passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born January 21, 1931 in Hayesville, NC, the son of Charles and Onita McClure Hall. He was a member of Salem Baptist Church; a graduate of Hayesville High School; a member of the Booster Club in the 1960's of the Salvation Army Boy's Club and was retired from Lowes Foods as a Produce Manager, having also worked at Colonial and Big Star grocery stores. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking and watching the "Andy Griffith Show". A hard-working person, he was quiet, easy going and was devoted to his family. Charles is preceded in death by his parents, one brother and three sisters. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Ruth Disher Hall; two sons, Rick Hall and wife, Sandra of Winston-Salem and Mike Hall of Winston-Salem; a grandson Brandon Hall of Franklin, OH; a great granddaughter, Chasey Hall and many nieces, nephews and friends. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, November 26, 2017 at Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Kivett Hicks and Dr. Howard Wilburn officiating. Interment will follow in Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Saturday, November 25 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Memorials may be made to Salem Baptist Church, 429 S.
