Charles E.Saxon

Charles Emerson Saxon of Winston-Salem passed away on Sunday, June 10, 2012, peacefully at the home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thaddeus Glenn and Anna Margaret Gertrude Saxon. He is survived by Carolyn Pedersen Saxon, his beloved wife of 60 years; son Jeffrey Arthur Saxon; Paul Andrew Saxon and his wife Anne M. Saxon; son Glenn Warren Saxon; and grandchildren Stephen Andrew Saxon and his wife Diana P. Saxon, and Suzanne Marie Saxon. Mr. Saxon was a WWII Navy Veteran. having served in both the Atlantic and Pacific Theaters. He was retired from McLean Trucking Company. Mr. Saxon's funeral service will be held Thursday June 14, 2012 at 11:00 am at Hayworth-Miller Chapel on 3315 Silas Creek Parkway in Winston-Salem, with family visitation beginning at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Central Terrace United Methodist Church, 3 East Devonshire Street, Winston-Salem, 27127, and the Central Carolina Children's Chorus, 4105 Sewanee Drive, Winston-Salem, 27106.
