Charles Stanford Easter, Sr.

KERNERSVILLE - Charles Stanford Easter, Sr., 79, passed away Friday, August 19, 2011, at his home. Charles was born on July 17, 1932 in Forsyth Co. to the late John Robert and Angie Mullis Easter. Charles was a member of Kernersville Wesleyan Church and was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a faithful friend to all. He was employed at Bassick-Sack for 27 years and retired from AMP Corporation. Charles was also the owner and operator of Triad Foundry of Kernersville for over 20 years. In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by three brothers, Grady, Paul and Everett and one nephew, Adam Easter. Surviving are his wife, Doris Dull Easter, of the home; son, Charles Stanford ""Stan"" Easter, Jr. (wife, Julie); daughter, Krista Easter Wilson (husband, Frankie) all of Kernersville; five grandsons, Seth Zebedee Wilson, Jon Franklin Wilson, Nicholas Dalton Easter, Noah Robert Easter and Nathaniel Austin Easter; a brother, Gilmer ""Butch""Easter, of Kernersville; a sister, Arlene ""Polly"" Dudley, of Winston-Salem; and a special cousin, Basil Shaver (wife, Karen), of Columbia, SC. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 22, 2011 at Kernersville Wesleyan Church with the Reverend Phil Hulen officiating. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Sunday, August 21, at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel.
