Charles Lindy Dutton, Jr

Charles Lindy Dutton, Jr, 58 of Winston Salem, NC passed away on Sunday, September 09, 2012 at his home. He was born on May 30, 1954 to Charles Lindy Dutton, Sr and the late Harriett Ruth Earl Dutton. Mr. Dutton graduated from Forsyth Technical Community College; he was also a member of Central Terrace United Methodist Church. Lindy Jr. was a musician, who played the guitar and the piano. Mr. Dutton was a member of the choir at church and played the guitar and sang in a quartet, the Gospel Sounds, for many years. He was a business owner, who provided transportation to people with handicaps for his business which was called Travel-Aid. Surviving Lindy Jr. are his father of the home, one aunt Dorothea Dutton of Hamlet, NC, fifteen cousins, all part of a large, close, extended family. A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor David DiMarco officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, September 14, 2012 at Richmond County Memorial Park in Rockingham, NC. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be sent to Central Terrace Methodist Church, 3 East Devonshire St, Winston-Salem, NC 27127.
