Mr. Charles Anthony Dellinger, 81, passed away Saturday, April 16, 2022 at Bermuda Village.  He was born in Caldwell County on May 14, 1940 to the late Charles Vaden and Edna Reavis Dellinger.  Mr. Dellinger was a long-time resident of Lewisville and retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. with several years of service.  He was an Eagle Scout, member of the NRA, and served in the NC Air National Guard.  After retiring from R.J. Reynolds, he was certified in HVAC repair, was a refrigeration contractor, had his real estate license, owned three Pizza Spinners, and lastly worked in the engineering department at Graylyn Conference Center.  Surviving is his wife of 56 years, Barbara Souther Dellinger; son, Brad Dellinger (Suzanne); daughter, Carol Blankenship (Erik); four grandchildren, Taylor Dellinger, Ruby Dellinger, Ben Blankenship, and Hank Blankenship; sister, Nancy Hoover (Ralph “Spooky”); also surviving is a niece, Kelly Gunzenhauser and nephew, David Hoover.  A visitation will be held from 4-6 PM Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel.  No masks are required.  In memory of all the cats that Mr. Dellinger had cared for, the family asks that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to the Humane Society of Davie County, PO Box 937, Mocksville, NC 27028.
