Mr. Charles Raymond Bullins, Sr., 83, of Winston-Salem passed away Monday, November 30, 2009 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born January 12, 1926 in Rockingham County to Henry and Harriett Mabe Bullins. Mr. Bullins was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during WWII. He was retired from Pike Electric Corporation with 42 years of service. He was an avid golfer, and loved music, especially bluegrass. He was preceded in death by a son, Terry Lee Bullins. Surviving is his wife, Virginia Garrett Bullins; two sons, Charles Raymond Bullins, Jr. and wife Becky of Winston-Salem, and Donnie Ray Bullins and wife Connie of Germanton; two sisters, Beatrice Woods of Madison and Mary Jane of Rocky Mount; five grandchildren, Lisa Dawn, Kayla, Karla, Brittany, and Nicholas Bullins; and one great grandson, Tristan Lee Bullins. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 3 at Knollhurst Memorial Gardens in Madison with Rev. Robert Plummer officiating.
