BRYANT
Mr. Charles David Chuck Bryant, affectionately known as Peepaw to many, 71, of Clemmons went to his eternal home on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born June 25, 1939 in Hope Mills, the son of the late, Charles and Ethel Dow Bryant. He was devoted to his late wife, Hazel Louise Bryant, who was called home on April 14, 2011. Chuck lived every moment to the fullest with his mischievous and playful nature, enjoyed dancing, the beach, camping at White Lake, tubing the Dan River and floating on High Rock Lake while making memories with his family and friends. He especially loved his nightly Dunkin Donuts ritual. In addition to his parents and wife, Chuck was preceded in death by his brothers, J. D., Thomas and Dennis Bryant, his sister, Ruby Woodall, his brother-in-law, George Smith and his sisters-in-law, Alice and Ann Bryant. Survivors include his children, Beverly Plummer and husband, Kirby, Daniel Bryant, Sherry Landreth and husband, Ben, Angela New and husband, John; his sisters, Helen Smith, Jewell Johnson and husband, Lee, Kathy Graham and Susie Troller and husband, Jerry. His stepson, Jimmy Swaim and wife, Tanya and his step daughter-in-law, Ronda Swaim and Kurt; and his sister-in-law, Geraldine Bryant. Chuck loved picking on and teasing his grandchildren, Ronnie Plummer and wife, Stephanie, Phillip Plummer and wife, Tessa, Lee Cheek and wife, Jennifer, Robbie Cheek and wife, Wendy, Chris Swaim, Miranda Swaim; his great grandchildren, Chayce, Kerrington, Autumn, Justin, Lauren, Sam, Max and Leah; and his many nieces and nephews. He loved laughing with his special friends, Jack and Faye Schwartz, Ruby Sapp, Frieda Lacklear and Crystal Croyle. Chucks life will be celebrated on Saturday, April 30th at 11:00 AM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Ron Haines officiating. Entombment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
