Charles Edward Beauchamp

Mr. Charles Edward Beauchamp, 80 of Winston-Salem died unexpectedly Tuesday, January 21, 2014. He was born January 7, 1934 in Davie County, the son of the late Eddie Graham and Ethel Howard Beauchamp. Mr. Beauchamp grew up at Advent Moravian Church and was presently a member of Linville Forest Church of Christ. He was a graduate of Griffith High School where he was a star football player and had the nickname ""Bull"". He was a veteran of the US Army and was retired from Southern Bell (Bell South) following 35 years of service. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Olin L. Beauchamp. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Martha D. Beauchamp of the home; two sisters, Doris B. Foltz of Winston-Salem and Nancy B. Norman and husband, Larry of Thomasville; a special brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jim A. and Mary D. Taylor of Kernersville; a sister-in-law, Bessie D. Beauchamp of Winston-Salem; his nieces and nephews, Jeffrey B. Taylor and wife, Sara, Jennifer T. Cooper and husband, Kenny, Tymon V. Taylor and wife, Kelly, Susan L. Foltz, Lynne F. Bostick and husband, Joey, Monie B. Baxter and husband, Butch, Beverly B. Cox and husband, Phillip, Debbie B. Spease and husband, Darrell, Robin N. Moser and husband, Stuart and Kimberly Wesson; and a number of great nieces and great nephews. The funeral service will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 AM at Linville Forest Church of Christ with Minister Kelly Brown officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in Advent Moravian Church Graveyard with Rev. Tim Sapp officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
