Charles Harden Amos, Jr.

Mr. Charles Harden Amos, Jr., 85, passed away July 11, 2011 at the Brian Center in Winston-Salem. He was born September 15, 1925 in Stokes County. He was preceded in death by his daughter in 1982, Donna Lynn Amos and six brothers and three sisters. Mr. Amos was a member of Konnoak Baptist Church where he served as treasurer and was a member of the choir. He retired as an accountant from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company with 30 years of service. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Gladys Martin Amos of the home and a sister-in-law, Carolyn Martin Huskey, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A private family graveside service will be held. Memorials may be made to Konnoak Baptist Church, 400 McLean Ave, Winston-Salem, NC 27127.
