Charles Roy Amos Jr.

Mr. Charles Roy 'Bud' Amos Jr., 84, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at Wake forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. He was born August 9, 1927 in Forsyth Co. to the late Charles Roy Amos Sr. and Louise Duggins Amos. Mr. Amos worked for many years at Angelo Bros in Winston-Salem and then at Eli Whitt where he retired in 1991. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Roger Amos, three brothers and seven sisters. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Alice Pinnix Amos of the home, three daughters, Carolyn Spainhour of Walkertown, Wavlin Pinnix of Winston-Salem and Kathleen Pinnix Oakley and husband Brice of Germanton, 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Hayworth-Miller Chapel in Rural Hall with Dr. Bobby Roberson officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 this evening at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall.
