Celia Roberta Coffey Melvin

KERNERSVILLE-- Celia Roberta Coffey Melvin, 82, passed away Sunday, Sept. 15, 2013, at Forsyth Medical Center. She was a devoted member of the Kernersville Seventh-day Adventist Church and had been an RN at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital. Mrs. Melvin was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Melvin; baby daughter, Joanie Melvin; sister Mary Jean Coffey Staley; brother Burl Coffey; and son-in-law Don Johnson, Sr. She is survived by her daughters Anne (Ted) Collins of Punta Gorda, FL and Anita (Larry) Ringer of Trenton, GA; sister Juanita Williams; grandchildren Donald, Jeff (Sabrina), and Scott (Tiffany) Johnson, Lauren and Charlia Ringer; great-grandchildren, Drew and Sarah Johnson, Aiden Johnson; a host of nieces and nephews and wonderful friends. The family will receive friends at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel, Friday September 20, 2013, from 11:00 until 1:00. Funeral service will be at 2:30 PM at Kernersville Seventh-Day Adventist church. Interment will follow at East Lawn Cemetery.
