Mrs. Cecile Deal Honeycutt, 80, of Winston-Salem, passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2017, at her residence. She was born on February 13, 1936, in Catawba County, to Wilson Yount Deal and Nora Hollar Deal. Mrs. Honeycutt was an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church, served on many boards, and was the leader of the women's group for a long time. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jimmy Linn Honeycutt, Sr., and one sister, Nora Alice Bowen. She is survived by four sons, Jimmy Linn Honeycutt, Jr., Breck Honeycutt, Rockne Honeycutt and wife Shannon and Bradley Honeycutt, eight grandchildren, Kristin Sicke, Jade York, Brook Hiatt, Brittany McCrann, Paige Honeycutt, Gerin Honeycutt, Alex Honeycutt, and Gina Honeycutt, five great grandchildren, Jace York, Raely York, Charlee Honeycutt, Brinn Hiatt, and John Sicke, one sister, Wilma Hunter, one brother, Gerald Deal and wife Suzanne, and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 4, 2017, at St. John's Lutheran Church, with Rev. Philip McLain officiating. Interment will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church ""SCHOOL ENDOWMENT FUND"", 2415 Silas Creek Pkwy, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
