Cecil Tennyson Thomas

Mr. Cecil Tennyson Thomas, 75, of Pilot Mountain., passed away Sunday, September 6, 2009. He was born January 18, 1934 in Forsyth County to Charles F. and Sally Journey Thomas. Mr. Thomas was a member of Brookstown United Methodist Church. He retired from Sears as a watch repairman and owned his own watch repair shop for many years. Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Waylene Smyers Thomas and a daughter, Teresa Jo Thomas. Surviving are one son, Terry Joe Thomas (Lisa) of Lawrenceville, GA; three grandchildren, Tennyson Jacob Thomas, Hayden Sable Thomas and Anderson Li Thomas and two sisters, Lillian Thomas Smith of Wallburg and Bronnie Lee Thomas of Advance. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, September 10, 2009 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. James T. ""Chip"" Webb, Jr. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
