Mr. Cecil McArthur Flynt, age 75 passed away February 16, 2018 at his residence. He was born June 28, 1942 in Stokes County to the late Robah Flynt and Lettie May Smith Flynt. Cecil loved farming and riding his tractor. Planting vegetables and nurturing them to maturity was his favorite part of life. He had animals that he loved dearly. In addition, Cecil loved listening to blue grass music and John Wayne was his TV hero. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and will be dearly missed by his family. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one step daughter, Melissa Taylor; one brother, three sisters, and one son-in-law, Kenny Steele. He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Debbie Masencup Flynt; one daughter, Angela Steele; two sons, Scotty Flynt (Jennifer), Cecil Allen Flynt (Kristin); two step-daughters, Kim Smith, Christina Wright (Randy); fifteen grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; two brothers. A memorial service will be conducted 6:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with Pastor Robert Hutchens officiating.
