Cecil Coy Farmer

STOKESDALE-Cecil Coy Farmer, 79, passed away Monday, October 03, 2011 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital. He was born November 7, 1931 in Surry Co. to the late Coy and Katie Kirkman Farmer. Mr. Farmer was a United States Army veteran and retired from Varco Pruden after many years of service. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a grandchild. Surviving are his wife, Nancy Chilton Farmer of the home; two sons, David Farmer of FL, Duane Farmer of Myrtle Beach, SC; two daughters, Janet Farmer Schroeder of FL, Christine Farmer Holbrook of Walkertown; three step-children, Cathy Stanley of Stokesdale, Ricky Swink of Browns Summit, Barbara Roland of Pelham; eleven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one brother, Hurley Farmer; two sisters, Vera Hall, and Imogene Gravley all of Mt. Airy. The family will receive friends from 6:30 -8:30 PM Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel.
