Cathy Marie Lucas

KERNERSVILLE - Mrs. Cathy Marie Lucas, 55, passed away Thursday, July 30, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center. Cathy was born on November 13, 1959 in Grand Rapids, MI to John and Joyce Zeeff Lucas. Cathy was strong, fun-loving woman of the Catholic Faith. She had a huge heart, full of care for others. Cathy always put the interests of her family and friends first.

Cathy was preceded in death by her father, John Lucas; twin brothers, John and David Lucas; and another brother, also named John David Lucas.


Surviving are her husband, Ron Coates; her mother, Joyce Lucas; two brothers, John, Jr. and David Lucas; three sisters, Kimberly Lewis, Jennifer Lattanzi, and Toni Lucas; two nephews, Nathan and Jason Lucas; and two nieces, Dana Lattanzi and Amber Lewis.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
