Cathy Lane Knapp

Cathy Lane Knapp passed away peacefully on May 11, 2023. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Chandler Knapp, her two daughters, Holly Redding (Arthur) and Casey Martin (David), her two precious grandchildren, Oliver and Winston Redding,  her brother, Mark Lane, her sister, Lori Adkins (Chad), nieces Tyler Abernathy and Courtney Reese, and nephew Collin Reese. Cathy is predeceased by her parents, Bob and Cora Lane.

Our mom was a constant friend and devoted partner to our dad, walking in faith beside him every step of the way throughout their beautiful life together. She was the best mom any daughter could ever hope for. From sewing dress-up clothes, to baking cakes, to mending scraped knees and broken hearts, she gave her all to us and we are immeasurably thankful she was ours. She loved being “Lala” to her sweet grandboys, and she was endlessly giving of herself to her parents until their passing in 2020. We rejoice that she resides with them now in Heaven.

A service for Cathy will be held on Saturday, May 27^th at 2:00pm at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Lewisville, NC. Her family will receive visitors beginning at 12:30pm prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to Trellis Supportive Care of Winston-Salem.
