Catherine Ann Hoffer Coffey

Ms. Catherine Ann Hoffer Coffey, 84, of Winston-Salem, passed away Monday, October 19, 2009 at Reynolda Park. She was born June 12, 1925 in Trumbull County, Ohio to John Stephen and Bertha Taubensee Hoffer. Ms. Coffey taught swimming in Winter Haven, Florida in the early '60's. She was a graphic designer with USDA for 22 years. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Mitzi. Surviving are one son, Jerry Colyer and wife Valinda of Pfafftown; one daughter, Melinda Davis and husband John of Flower Mound, TX; one sister, Faith Centofanti and husband Joe of Venice, FL; two brothers, John Howard Hoffer and wife Mary, and Rev. Dirk Hoffer, all of Tampa, FL; grandchildren, Charles Colyer, Eric Seay, Meredith Colyer, and Brinson Seay. The family is planning a memorial service for family only at a later date.
