Catherine Shaw Cain

WINSTON SALEM - Catherine ""Kitty"" Shaw Cain, 78, died Thursday, May 8, 2014 at her home. Kitty was born on February 19, 1936 in Harnett County to the late James A. and Blanche Davis Shaw. She was a member of Century Park Baptist Church. Kitty enjoyed visiting the beach and sharing her love of cooking with her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Kitty was preceded in death by her husband, Billy A. Cain and one son, Dennis L. Cain.

Surviving are two daughters, Delinda Torres (Adan M.) of Wallburg and Tonya Clodfelter of High Point; four grandchildren, Sara Clodfelter, Jessica, Adan and Kayla Torres; two great grandchildren, Alizae Hughes and Thailan Fulk Jayden Jolly; one sister, Estelle Brown of Fayetteville; one brother, Carol Shaw of Kannapolis; and a sister-in-law, Evon Holder of Kernersville.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory with Pastor Tim White officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Monday, May 12, at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel.
