Carry W. 'Candy' Stevens

Carry ""Candy"" Catherine Wilber Stevens, 54, of Advance, NC, passed away Thursday, August 11, 2011, in her home with her loving husband, Robert G. Stevens, and family, at her side. Candy will always be remembered for her unconditional love and kindness. She was a ""giver."" Along with her husband, survivors include son, Scott and his wife, Tracey and their sons, Danny, Tommy, and Matt of Mocksville, NC; daughter, Sue Malley and her husband, Chris and their sons, Spenser and Brendan of Summit, NJ; son, Chad and his wife, Ashley and their sons, Devin and Tyler of Winston-Salem, NC; son, Sean and his fiancé, Alex Davis of Winston-Salem, NC; son, Michael of Advance, NC. Surviving siblings include brothers: Harry Wilber, Larry Wilber, Gary Wilber and Perry Wilber; sisters: Sherry (Penny) Russell, Merry Germond, Jerry Lydecker, Molly Wilber, Polly Wilber, and Cherry Wilber. Her parents, Harry & Anna May Wilber of Lake Hill, NY, and two brothers, Barry and Terry, preceded her in death. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM Sunday, August 14, 2011 at Cornerstone Christian Church. The family will receive friends following the service. As per Candy's wishes, the dress will be casual. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made in honor of Candy Stevens to Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103 or Cornerstone Christian Church, 1585 NC Hwy 801 N.
