Carrie Lynn Moricle, 70, passed away peacefully at her home in Winston-Salem, NC, on September 23rd, 2024. She was born in Burlington, NC, where she attended school and raised her family,
Carrie Lynn was known for her love of her family and friends, The Beatles and Duke basketball. She enjoyed going to the beach and listening to beach music.
Carrie Lynn lived a life full of passion and purpose. She dedicated her life to nursing and there were none better. Compassionate and empathetic, she treated her patients as family. Always caring for others, her greatest roles were mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Barbara Blackwell; and her sisters, Susie and Joey.
Carrie Lynn is survived by her husband, Rob Moricle of the home; her son, Chris Cornetto and his wife Julie of Burlington, NC; her daughter, Jamie Bowland Kelso of Raleigh, NC; her brother, Brian and fiancee Rebecca of Melbourne, FL; and her devoted sister, Ellen; along with beloved nieces; nephews; great-nieces; and great-nephews. Carrie Lynn’s beloved grandchildren, Kennedy and Parker Kelso, are left to mourn their beloved Nana who loved them with all her heart.
Carrie Lynn will be deeply missed by all who knew her and her legacy will live on in the hearts of those whose lives she touched.
A celebration of Carrie Lynn’s life will be held at a future date in Burlington.
