Mrs. Carolyn Pack Carpenter passed away Monday evening, January 31, 2022, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Carolyn was born in Stuart, VA on July 18, 1941, to the late Walter J Pack and Lillian Sexton Pack. She enjoyed listening to Elvis, watching Carolina Basketball, western television shows, Bob Ross paintings and playing card games. Carolyn was an avid churchgoer and sang in the choir. She loved cooking, but nothing meant more to her than her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and family. She was preceded in death by husband Melvin Carpenter; son Greg Jessup; daughter Cathy Carpenter; brothers Jerry Pack and Danny Pack. Carolyn is survived by sons Perry Jessup (Karen), Brian Jessup (Christy), and Scott Carpenter (Kim); grandsons Perry Jessup, Jr., Austin Jessup, Justin Jessup, Travis Jessup, and Jacob Carpenter; granddaughters Diane Jessup, Ashley Weitzel, Amber Jessup, and Katelyn Carpenter; eleven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law Lynn Jessup and family; brother Bill Pack and family; sister-in-law Joyce Pack and family; brother-in-law Roger Carpenter and family; sister-in-law Cassie Carpenter and family; and special niece Karen Pack. A funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Burial will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, February 7, 2022, at Parklawn Memorial Park.
