Carolyn Yvonne Stewart Snyder

Carolyn Yvonne Stewart Snyder, 76, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 29, 2023, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born to the late Raymond and Juanita Pardon Stewart on November 26, 1946, in Forsyth County. Carolyn was a proud independent woman who enjoyed working out in her yard. In her free time, she was a huge Nascar and Carolina Basketball fan. Many memories were shared while traveling from games and races alongside her loving family. Her two granddaughters, Lauren and Megan were the light of her world. Carolyn was a member of Advent Moravian Church where she looked after the church nursery for over 25 years in addition to volunteering at the preschool. She will be missed dearly by all of those who knew and loved her. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 34 years, James Wayne Snyder; brother, Ronald Stewart; and brother-in-law, Bill Snyder.  Carolyn is survived by her son, Randall Snyder (Kelly); two granddaughters, Lauren Snyder Nichols (Tyler), and Megan Snyder; sister, Catherine Shapiro (Rick); brothers-in-law, Allen Snyder (Gwen), and Steve Snyder (Bonnie); sisters-in-law, Joyce Snyder, and Cathy Stewart; and numerous other extended family members and friends. A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at Advent Moravian Church. The family will be receiving friends from 1:00pm to 2:00pm before the service. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home at 101 Hospice Ln, Winston-Salem, NC 27103, or Advent Moravian Church at 1514 W Clemmonsville Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27127 in honor of Carolyn.
