Carolyn Pickett

Carolyn Frances Pickett entered her life immortal on Friday, October 14, 2022.  Born September 23, 1940 in Winston-Salem, NC, she was one of four daughters and a son of Frank and Mary Pickett. She is survived by her sister Frankye Wilson (Lerona, WV), multiple nieces and nephews and extended family. Carolyn reveled in the lives of her family and treasured her special friendships.

Carolyn attended Appalachian State University and received a Bachelor’s degree in teaching - her life’s passion. Of deep Christian faith, she was a lifelong member of the Fraternity Church of the Brethren and taught Sunday School.  She served faithfully in the service sorority Epsilon Sigma Alpha. Carolyn enjoyed choir, cooking, and traveling.

The family would like to thank her countless caregivers over the years for her loving care.

Honorariums can be made to the Fraternity Church of the Brethren, American Cancer Society, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital,  Diabetes Association and The Shepherd's Center-Greater Winston Salem.

The funeral will be held on Friday, October 21, 2022, at 3:00 pm at Fraternity Church of the Brethren, 3760 Fraternity Church Road, Winston-Salem, NC. The family will receive friends after the ceremony and interment.
