Carolyn Hicks

KERNERSVILLE - Carolyn Ann Hicks, 70, passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Forsyth Medical Center. Ann was born on April 15, 1947 in Rockingham County to Zack James and Nora Lee Bullins Chaney. She loved to crochet, read, do Word Searches and puzzles. She was an outstanding and loving person. She was outspoken, funny, and would just light up the room. She put everyone before herself. Ann was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be deeply missed.
In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her firstborn son, Infant Donald Wayne Hicks, sister, Vera Clark; and two brothers, James and Charles Chaney.
Surviving are her husband, Donald Hicks; three children, Reba Rogers (James), Carol Sandy (Samuel), and Ronnie Hicks; five grandchildren, Ronnie, Jr., Jessica, Samantha, TJ, and Dylan; five great grandchildren, Ronnie, III, Noah, Isabella, Kylie, and Bentley; a sister, Lucille Bullins (Ronnie); two brothers, Early Chaney (Betty) and Fred Oscar Chaney (Peggy).
