Carolyn Gay Gross

Ms. Carolyn Gay Gross, also known as ""Kay-Kay and Mama G"" of Winston-Salem passed away Sunday, May 29, 2011 at the age of 55. She was retired form Pony Express and Beavex Courier Company. Her spirited personality turned everyday life into an adventure like no other. Her hobbies included competitive baking, writing poetry, decorating unique cakes, spending time with her family and friends, and evoking spontaneous, uncontrollable laughter with her legendary sense of humor. She is survived by her devoted son Michael Gross of Winston-Salem: her ""Grandchildren"", Jacob, Blaze and Daylon Surratt: her niece and nephew Roseann Callabrito-Turner and Scott Callibrito; her three very special aunts, Helen Byrd, Odessa Stevens and Mable Dillon; and her brother and sister Rodney Gross and Sharron Davis. The funeral service will be conducted Friday at 11:00 AM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Reverend Wallace Cole officiating. Burial will follow in Crestview memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
