Carolyn Sechrist Goad

Mrs. Carolyn Sechrist Goad, 78, passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born October 23, 1946, to the late Grady Sechrist and Alma Chappel Sechrist. Carolyn was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She retired from the Winston-Salem Forsyth County School System after 25 years of service. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, and baking. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Mt. Airy, NC. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Ray Goad and her great-granddaughter, Holly Noelle Goad. She is survived by her two sons, Kevin Goad (Marie) and Keith Goad (Diane); seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; six brothers; five sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 2pm Saturday January 25, 2025, at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with Bro. Johnny Sechrist officiating. The family will receive friends from 1pm until 2pm Saturday January 25, 2025, at the funeral home.
