Carolyn Church

Winston-Salem- Ms. Carolyn Jean Church, 36, passed away Saturday, January 29, 2022. She was born March 12, 1985 in Forsyth County to Paul and Adrianna Jenkins Church.  She graduated from Glenn High School in Kernersville in 2003. As a child, Carolyn brought home countless stray animals she wanted to rescue and protect. Her love of animals continued into adulthood and as recently as one of the January snow storms, she brought home a kitten she found crying in the woods. She was preceded in death by her mother and an infant daughter, Phoenix Marie.  She is survived by her father Paul; children, Montana Smith, Grayson and Eli Parks and Nevaeh Cooper; a sister, Candy Jenkins Pitts and husband, Jim; niece & nephews, Sydney Tesh, Cooper and Hudson Pitts; and her best friend, Derek Welch.  A memorial service will be held at 2:30 PM Sunday, February 6, 2022 at Central Tabernacle located at 715 Waughtown Street, Winston-Salem with Rev. Sandra Bovender officiating. Prior to the service, the family will receive friends beginning at 2:00 PM at the church.
