Carolyn Jane Thomas Chandler

Kernersville - Carolyn Jane Thomas Chandler, 81, passed away Thursday, July 28, 2016, at Forsyth Medical Center. Carolyn was born April 14, 1935 in Harnett County.

She was a life-long member of Bunker Hill United Methodist Church and loved sewing, quilting, doing crafts and playing bingo.

In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Holman Chandler, Jr.

Surviving are two daughters, Donna Murdock (Roger) and Debbie Astorino (Michael); one son, Dale Chandler (Karen); three grandchildren, Jonathan Crowell, Adam Chandler and Sara Chandler; one great grandchild, Emerson Crowell; and a sister, Dorothy Ash (Carol).

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 1, 2016 at Bunker Hill United Methodist Church with Rev. David Rorie officiating. Burial will follow in Bunker Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bunker Hill UMC - Capital Improvement Fund, 1510 Bunker Hill Rd, Kernersville, NC 27284.
