Carol "Sue" Jean Martin Hartle

Carol “Sue” Jean Martin Hartle, 82, passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at her home in Clemmons. Sue was born on April 3, 1940 in Forsyth County to the late Willie P. Martin and Mary K. Marshall Martin. Sue loved flowers and enjoyed spending time at the beach. She was strong and a determined fighter, especially during her illness. Most of all, she loved everyone and was a good woman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Eugene Hartle, Sr.; her son, Jody Wayne Desourdy; and her sister, Sandra Jo Gobble. Surviving family includes her daughters, April Desourdy, Melanie Mellott, Tina Mickle and Terri Stacey; son, Donnie Hartle, Jr.; brother, Terry Martin; two nieces; one nephew; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, June 3, 2022 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel, with Rev. Doug Klein officiating, with burial immediately following the services at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior the service at the funeral home.
