Carole Coon

Mrs. Carole Hauser Coon, 91, passed away December 22, 2022, at Priddy Manor Assisted Living. She was born June 9, 1931, in Surry County to the late Hubert Hauser and Ella Miller Hauser. Carole was a member of Shoals Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband; Wilborn “Bill” Ellis Coon, and a grandchild; Grayson Jade Atkins. Carole is survived by a son; Phil Coon, two daughters; Susan Payne (Jeff), and Anna Miller (Tim), four grandchildren; Ashley Atkins (Kevin), Ellis Payne (Sarah), Jeremy Miller (Grace), Jordan Miller (Gabrielle), five great-grandchildren; Kennley, Chandlin, and Jacey Atkins, Sykes, and Liddy Payne. The family would like to give a special thanks to caregivers during Carole’s illness. A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, December 26, 2022, at Shoals Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev.
