Carola Elisabeth Hennemann Lane

Mrs. Carola Elisabeth Hennemann Lane passed away Thursday, January 1, 2015 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born in Germany on November 2, 1951 the daughter of the late Emilie Wilhelmine Sahm Hennemann and Karlheinz Max Albert Hennemann. Mrs. Lane retired from BB&T with 34 years of service. She had a passion for helping others and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lane was preceded in death by her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Auguste Marie Lane and Edwin Willard Lane; one sister-in-law, Donna Lane; and one nephew, Markus Taylor. She is survived by her devoted husband of 43 years, John W. Lane of the home; daughter, Nicole L. Holt of King; son, John E. Lane of King; two grandchildren, Reagan M. Holt of King and Beatrice D. Lane of Dobson; three siblings: Martina Taylor, Sigrid Blair, and Karlheinz Hennemann all of Germany; sister-in-law, Shirley Hultquist of Dublin, GA; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 4, 2015 at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with the Rev. R. Sidney Lanier officiating. Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
