Carol St. Pierre Sowers

LewisvilleMrs. Carol St. Pierre Sowers, 68, passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born February 19, 1944 in Louisiana to the late Jean Baptiste and Grace Montz St. Pierre. Carol was a faithful, attending member of Calvary Baptist Church while her health permitted and was blessed with live services on calvarynow.com in the comfort of her home later in life. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Carol loved spending time with her family and enjoyed cooking. She had a deep Christian faith and was a strong prayer warrior for her family and friends. Preceding her in death were a sister, Elodie Tassin and a brother, Michael St. Pierre. Surviving is her husband, Larry Sowers of Lewisville; three children, Walter Sowers and wife, Jennifer of Madison, Alabama, David Sowers and wife, Dawn of Lewisville, and Maria Womble and husband, David of Lewisville; grandchildren, Kimberly, Mitchell, Jake, Cheyenne, Bo, Holli, Grace, Mackenzie, and Jarrett; also surviving are her siblings, J. B. St. Pierre and wife, Gloria of Destrehan, LA, Elizabeth Simon and husband, Curt of Petal, MS, Franklin St. Pierre and wife, Nita of Gonzales, LA, Rose Pearson and husband, Duncan of Suwanee, GA, Mary Binaco and husband, Tony of Marietta, GA, Marian St. Pierre of Laurel, MS and a brother-in-law, Randall Tassin of La Place, LA. A memorial service will be held 5:00 PM Saturday, January 12, 2013 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Byrum officiating.
