Carol Ann Porter

Carol Ann Weilenbeck Porter , 70 , of Winston-Salem, passed away on Monday February 15, 2016 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice with her son and daughter in-law at her side. She was born on March 16, 1945 in New Jersey. She volunteered at Forsyth Medical Center for many years, crocheting hats for newborns, also working with families in the ICU unit. After losing her husband she furthered her education with an associates from Surry Community College, she then attended Salem College where she obtained her bachelors degree. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 25 years, her one and only man, Lewis Albert ""Pat"" Porter. She is survived by her one and only son Chris Porter and wife Sandra of Mocksville. A funeral Service will be conducted Friday, February 19, 2016 at 2:00 PM, with Pastor Sonny Flowers officiating. Burial will follow at Crestwood Memorial Park, State Road North Carolina.
