Mrs. Carol Ann Phillips, 60, formerly of Winston-Salem, and presently of Greensboro died Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem. She was born June 23, 1954 in Lincoln, RI, the daughter of the late Donald and Patricia Ouellette. Mrs. Phillips was a graduate of Lincoln High School in Lincoln, RI. She was a veteran of the US Air Force. She received a BA Degree from High Point University and a Masters of Arts Degree from Wake Forest University. She was an Executive Assistant to the Dean of Bryan Business School at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Previously she held positions at Crotts and Saunders Engineering Firm and the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. She had a passion for animals, gardening and volunteered for the Animal Rescue in Greensboro. Survivors include her husband, Jim Phillips of the home; one son, Christopher Hawkins of Los Angeles, CA; two sisters, Donna Ouellette of Philadelphia, PA and Christine Ouellette of RI; one niece, Jamie Funk of Philadelphia, PA; one stepson, Jeff Phillips and wife, Margot of Chicago, IL; one stepdaughter, Angie Andrews and husband, Arnold of Mt. Pleasant, SC; five step grandchildren, Daniel Phillips, Will Andrews, Eva Andrews, Olivia Andrews and Annabelle Andrews; and her two spoiled cats, Melody and Rona. The funeral service will be conducted Thursday, May 21, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel, Winston-Salem with Rev. Steve Sparks officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 20, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
