Carol Conner Franklin

Ms. Carol Conner Franklin, age 64, passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at Oak Forest Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born October 28, 1948, in Winston-Salem the daughter of Geraldine 'Gerry' Wood Conner and the late Clarence 'Jug' Conner. Ms. Franklin is survived by her mother; three sons: Todd Lusk and wife Alison of Germanton, Jason Lusk of Denver, CO, and Jarred Franklin of Roanoke Rapids; four grandchildren, David Lusk, Nicholas Lusk, Darrin Lusk and Caroline Lusk; one sister, Janice Conner Fulp and husband Royce of King; two nieces; Julie Gammons and Travis of King and Krista Cook and Greg of Monroe, NC, and two great nieces. She is also survived by two aunts, one uncle, and many special cousins. Funeral services for Ms. Franklin will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 3, 2013, at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with Rev. Dennis Conner officiating. A private burial will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon-2:00 p.m. prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Hospice & Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
