Carol Branch

Mrs. Carol Jean Stewart Branch, 74, of Winston-Salem passed away Monday, December 4, 2017 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born October 9, 1943 in Winston-Salem, the daughter of the late Lester Eugene and Nona Vay Yontz Stewart. Mrs. Branch was employed by Hanes Hosiery and retired from Bell South. Following her retirement, she worked at ARCA for 15 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J. C. Branch; three brothers, Edward Stewart, Charles Stewart and Lester Stewart; and two sisters, Lois Martin and Nancy Hopkins. . Survivors include one daughter, Cristina Mahaffey and husband, Johnny; two sons, Jason Branch and wife, Kelley and Jonathan Branch; four grandchildren, Misty Harrison and husband, Ricky, Sarah Mahaffey, Chandler Branch and Connor Branch; three great grandchildren, Ayden Harrison, Kane Harrison and Coral Freeman; three brothers, Jimmy Stewart and wife, Barbara, Zane Stewart and wife, Louise and Tony Stewart and wife, Linda; and two dear friends, Danny Sprinkle and Judy Davis. The funeral service will be conducted Friday at 12:00 PM at Christ Wesleyan Church, 2390 Union Cross Road with Pastor Mark Norris officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek.
