Mrs. Carmel Celeste Robertson Hall, passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at her home. She was born in Forsyth Co. on June 27, 1956, the daughter of the late James Daniel Robertson and Betty Lou Landingham Robertson. Carmel was an avid Duke fan and had a deep love for animals and children. She and her husband Bruce spent their entire married life together, they supported each other in everything they did. Carmel was a top Cross-Stitch designer during the cross-stich boom in the late 1970’s and early 1980’s. She was always a creative artist. Her business, Celeste Teal Creations, was always at the top of the cross-stitch industry. Carmel opened “Cobblestones…” in an old two-story house and her artistic taste created a store with different appeal from room to room. While running Cobbelstones…, she started the King Chamber of Commerce. Cobblestones… became the first business in King to pair the tanning industry with the gift store industry. The combination expanded from 2 beds to 10 and into another building. Cobblestones… was the first business to embrace the Beanie Baby Boom. Her last career was tee shirt designs and sales. She included small towns and state parks in local counties. Her designs were like her other life endeavors: Creative. She was also a dedicated volunteer for the River Run Film Festival. Carmel always said, “The best thing about her life was that she and Bruce did it together.” She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Bruce Hall; her canine companion, Bitsy; and numerous cousins and extended family members. A private memorial service will be conducted at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to any local high school athletic department or the charity of the donor’s choice.
