Mrs. Carla Key Luper, 63, of Winston-Salem, entered the presence of our Lord Monday, November 29, 2010, when she passed away, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. She was born September 14, 1947 in Winston-Salem to Charles Alexander and Maeola Booze Key. Her ability to love was well known by all who knew or met her. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. She was preceded in death by three special babies, Wendy, Clint and Todd; her sister Shirley Key White of Granite Falls, NC; and her father Charles Key, Sr. of Winston-Salem, NC. She is survived by her husband, Daniel Luper of the home; her daughter, Kimberly Jane Luper of Seneca Falls, NY; her mother, Maeola B. Key of Winston-Salem; and her brother and sister-in-law, Karen and Charles Key, Jr., of Advance, NC. She is also survived by three brothers-in-law and spouses, Mr. & Mrs. Paul & Lynn Luper of Winston-Salem, Mr. and Mrs. Gary & Karen Luper of Lexington and Mr. Terry Luper of Winston-Salem. In addition, Mrs. Luper is survived by numerous beloved nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted 10:00 am Thursday, December 2, 2010 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with the Rev. Charles C. Penley, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm, Wednesday, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312 or the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd St, New York, NY 10016.
