Carl George Gericke

Mr. Carl George Gericke, age 75 of King died Wednesday afternoon, March 25, 2009 at J.R. Jones Medical Center in King. Carl was born June 29, 1933 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Carl and late Louise Willmer Gericke. He was a member of Nazareth Evangelical Lutheran Church in Rural Hall, a U.S. Army veteran and retired from an advertising company in New York. Carl was a member of the Art Galley of Winston-Salem for many years. He touched everyone's life with the ability to make people laugh. He was a very loving and caring man and will be greatly missed. Surviving is his wife of 45 years: Karin Gericke of the home. Two son's: David (Nicole) Gericke of King and Scott Gericke of Florida. Four grandchildren and one great grandson. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday afternoon March 29, 2009 at 3:00 P.M. at the Nazareth Evangelical Lutheran Church in Rural Hall by Rev. Stacie Loizeaux. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall Saturday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M.
