Carl Lee Danner, Jr.

Mr. Carl Lee Danner, Jr., 84, passed away April 1, 2009 at the Lutheran Home. He was born June 23, 1924 in Forsyth County to Bertha Myers and Carl Lee Danner, Sr. Mr. Danner served in the 503rd Parachute Infantry U.S. Army during WWII where he earned a Bronze Star. He retired from N & W Railroad Company. Surviving are his wife, Kathryn Stewart Danner of the home; five sons, Alan Danner, Jeff Danner, Tony Danner, Michael Danner, Phillip Danner; two daughters, Lisa Bowles and Carol Engstrom; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, April 3, 2009 at Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
