Carl "Bill" Covington

Kernersville - Mr. Carl William ""Bill"" Covington, age 85, of Kernersville passed away Thursday April 21, 2016 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born July 21, 1930 in Lee County to John Aubrey and Anna Wilson Covington. Mr. Covington was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean Conflict. He was retired from Western Electric/AT&T and was a member of First Baptist Church Kernersville.
Surviving are his wife Betty Weathersbee Covington, a son Carl W. Covington Jr. and wife Mary Beth, a daughter Kathryn Covington Showalter and husband Pat, and two beloved grandchildren Alexander Covington and Caitlin Showalter.

Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Monday, April 25, 2016 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Dr. Stephen Martin officiating. Family will receive friends on hour prior to the service. A private family burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
